Best for
Users who want a premium massage chair with dual massage engines, advanced upper- and lower-body coverage, biometric-based program recommendations, strong stretching support, and extensive convenience features.
Massage feel
The Active XL DUO combines a depth-adjustable 3D upper mechanism with a human-like 2D lower mechanism, supported by body scanning, air compression, foot rollers, heat, stretching programs, and multiple intensity controls.
Room fit
The chair measures 29.7 inches wide and reaches approximately 75.4 inches long when fully reclined. The manufacturer lists approximately 11 inches of wall clearance, but the complete room and delivery path should still be measured before ordering.
Key massage features
These are the main Active XL DUO features most customers should understand before choosing this chair.
Dual Massage Engines: 3D Upper + 2D Lower
The Active XL DUO uses two independent massage mechanisms to work on different areas of the body at the same time. The upper 3D mechanism provides adjustable massage depth around the neck, shoulders, and back, while the lower 2D mechanism focuses on the lower back and glutes.
- Two massage engines operate independently for broader body coverage.
- The upper 3D mechanism adds adjustable inward-and-outward roller depth.
- The lower 2D mechanism focuses on the lumbar and glute areas.
Patented Li Flex Track
The Li Flex Track guides the massage rollers from the neck down to the glutes while flexing around the pivot of the L-shaped track. This design helps maintain roller contact while allowing the chair to support a more natural lie-flat position.
- Extends massage coverage from the neck through the glute area.
- Flexes with the chair to maintain smoother roller contact.
- Supports stretching and Zero Gravity positioning.
Chair Doctor Biometric Sensing
Chair Doctor uses biometric sensors to measure indicators including heart rate, stress level, and blood oxygen. The chair then uses those readings to recommend a massage program based on the user's current condition.
- Measures supported biometric indicators before a recommended session.
- Uses the collected data to suggest a massage program.
- Adds a more personalized starting point without requiring manual program selection.
Precise Body Scanning and 34-Airbag Compression
Body scanning maps the user's shape so the rollers can be positioned more accurately before the massage begins. Thirty-four airbags then add rhythmic compression around the shoulders, arms, calves, and feet.
- Body scanning helps align massage placement to the current user.
- 34 airbags provide compression across key upper- and lower-body areas.
- Five air-intensity levels allow the compression strength to be adjusted.
Reflexology Foot Massage
Spinning foot rollers work together with air compression to create focused massage across the soles and surrounding foot area. This lower-body system is designed to provide a more complete massage experience from the back down through the feet.
- Spinning rollers provide direct contact across the soles.
- Foot and calf air compression surrounds the lower legs and feet.
- Foot rollers can be quickly turned on or off from the chair controls.
Heat Therapy and Automatic Legrest
Heat therapy provides warmth around the lumbar area and legs, while the automatic legrest extends and retracts to better align with the user's leg length. Together, these features help improve lower-body fit and comfort during compatible massage programs.
- Heat is provided at the lumbar and leg areas.
- Automatic leg-length detection helps adjust the footrest position.
- Inductive-stop sensors are included in the footrest for safer movement.
Additional comfort and convenience features
These supporting features make the Active XL DUO easier to personalize for different massage preferences.
18 Automatic Programs
The chair includes 18 automatic massage programs, along with 1 manual mode and 5 custom massage slots for saving preferred routines.
5 Stretch Programs
Five doctor-designed stretch programs include options such as Thai, Spinal Care, and Japanese to combine roller movement with chair positioning.
6 Massage Techniques
The massage system includes 6 techniques that can be used through supported manual and automatic settings.
Two Zero Gravity Positions
Two Zero Gravity recline positions provide different supported reclining angles for compatible massage and relaxation programs.
Space-Saving Recline
The chair uses a wall-hugging design and the manufacturer lists approximately 11 inches of wall clearance.
Smart Dial
A full-color LCD Smart Dial built into the armrest provides quick access to program selection, massage intensity, heat, foot rollers, and chair positioning.
Wired LCD Remote
A separate wired LCD controller provides another way to navigate programs, massage settings, and chair adjustments.
Voice Control
Offline voice control allows supported massage functions to be adjusted with spoken commands without requiring an internet connection.
Bluetooth Speakers
Built-in Bluetooth speakers allow compatible devices to play music, podcasts, meditation audio, or other sound during a massage.
USB Type-C Charging
The integrated USB Type-C charging port supports up to 18W for conveniently powering compatible devices while relaxing.
Safety Features
The chair is listed with overheating protection, a power surge detector, child safety lock, footrest sensors, and a backrest safety sensor designed to help prevent pinching during automatic retraction.
Before you choose the Active XL DUO

- Measure the intended location in both upright and fully reclined positions.
- Allow for the manufacturer-listed wall clearance of approximately 11 inches.
- Ask Tittac about delivery, installation, warranty coverage, and return details before ordering.

Ogawa Massage Chair Warranty
Eligible Ogawa massage chairs are covered against qualifying mechanical, electrical, component, and functional defects under normal residential use. Coverage begins on the original purchase date and varies by model.
Warranty Included With Your Chair
The warranty included with this model is shown in the preselected Warranty option above the Add to Cart button. That is the coverage that applies to your purchase and it is included at no additional charge.
Ogawa Warranty Coverage by Model
- Eligible models may qualify for an additional 2-year extended warranty.
- The extended warranty is optional and must be purchased separately when offered.
- Available coverage, pricing, and eligibility vary by model.
Ogawa warranty coverage varies by massage chair model. The warranty selected or included with your purchase, as shown on the product page and sales invoice, determines the coverage that applies to your chair. Five-year framework coverage should not be interpreted as five years of in-home service or full parts-and-labor coverage.
How Warranty Service Works
Warranty claims must be evaluated and approved by Ogawa. Depending on the reported issue, Ogawa may provide replacement parts, troubleshooting instructions, or arrange for an authorized service technician when in-home service is included under the applicable warranty period.
A technical problem does not automatically qualify the customer for a complete replacement chair. Repair, replacement parts, or another remedy may be provided depending on the diagnosis and applicable warranty terms.
What Is Not Covered
- Physical, accidental, cosmetic, impact, or relocation damage
- Misuse, abuse, neglect, improper care, installation, or assembly
- Failure to follow product instructions or recommended operating procedures
- Unauthorized repairs, disassembly, alterations, or modifications
- Improper electrical supply, electrical damage, power surges, or power disturbances
- Water, fire, flood, rust, corrosion, weather, or environmental damage
- Normal wear involving upholstery, fabric, padding, foam, or coverings
- Fading, fabric pilling, cushion softening, scratches, tears, stains, or dents caused by normal use
- Damage resulting from moving, transporting, or relocating the chair
- Use outside the conditions permitted by the applicable Ogawa warranty
Commercial Use
Standard Ogawa massage chair warranty coverage is intended for qualifying residential use unless otherwise stated in the applicable warranty documents. Business, rental, hospitality, salon, spa, medical, office, fitness, or other commercial use may be subject to different warranty terms or may not qualify for standard residential coverage.
Please contact TITTAC before purchasing an Ogawa massage chair for commercial use so warranty eligibility and available coverage can be confirmed before the order is placed.
Information Required for Service
- Original sales receipt, invoice, or other valid proof of purchase
- Massage chair model and serial number
- Photos or videos showing the reported issue
- Description of the problem and when it occurs
- Any additional information requested for diagnosis
Warranty service may be delayed or denied when valid proof of purchase, product identification, or other information required to verify the claim cannot be provided.

Stop using the chair if continued operation could cause additional damage. Do not disassemble, modify, or attempt repairs before receiving instructions from Ogawa or an authorized service provider.
